On Civil Service Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paid tribute to Sardar Patel and has also shared an old video of his speech given on this day. This video is of Civil Service Day of the year 2018. The Prime Minister tweeted on this day, writing, “Tribute to the great Sardar Patel on Civil Service Day, who conceived our administrative structure and insisted on building a progress-oriented and compassionate system. With this I will give my speech of 2018 I’m also sharing a video of it. ”

What is Civil Service Day?

According to the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Civil Service Day is celebrated on April 21 because on this day in 1947, the country’s first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel addressed the officers of the Administrative Service. He called public servants ‘the steel frame of India’.

Civil Service Day is observed every year on 21 April. The first civil service day was celebrated at Vigyan Bhawan in 2006. Prime Minister’s Awards are given to various officers for Excellence in Public Administration on Public Service Day.

The civil service in India consists of a comprehensive list of Indian Administrative Services, Indian Police Service, Indian Foreign Service and All India Services and Central Services Group A and Group B. Further tasks are also planned on the day of Public Service Day, how they have to work next. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi appreciated the efforts of public servants in successfully defeating Kovid-19.

He said that they are working round the clock, helping the needy people and all the people are working continuously to ensure that they are healthy. Modi tweeted that ‘On Public Service Day, I pay tribute to the great Sardar Patel who conceived our administrative structure and insisted on building a system that is progress-oriented and compassionate.
